After roughly a year and a half of no in-person events, the Okanagan Wine Festivals Society announced this week that its popular summer and fall food and wine festivals will begin returning to their classic formats, starting with the BC Wine and Food Truck Feast on August 7 in Kelowna.
During the outdoor festival, guests will be treated to more than 40 local wines from the Okanagan along with small-plate pairings, live music, custom-made ice wine popsicles, and much more.
Next, following the industry-only FCC Wine Trade Tasting event in September, three of the Okanagan Wine Festivals Society’s premier events will return: the BC Lieutenant Governor’s Wine Awards Ceremony on October 7, the Fall Valley First Wine Tastings on October 9, and the Sensation Fall Finale on October 16.
“In October, the Okanagan Valley is the place to be to enjoy the many fabulous wines that are inherent to BC,” says general manager Elan Morris. “As a not-for-profit, we are thankful to have made it through the pandemic, and we are happy to return to actioning the Society’s purpose of being the matchmaker between wine lovers and the people that craft it.”
Tickets for the BC Wine and Food Truck Feast are currently available to purchase online, while tickets for the three October events will be available in the coming weeks. Okanagan industry workers can request an invitation to the Trade Tasting event via email.
