If you watched the 2021 season of Top Chef Canada, chances are that you fell in love with Billy Nguyen and their creative approach to cooking. While Nguyen is based in Vancouver and has done an array of unique culinary events there (several of them with fellow TCC alum and bestie, Andrea Alridge), the chef trekked out to Winnipeg earlier this summer to collaborate with TCC alum Emily Butcher at Nola.
Next on their to-travel list is Calgary where Billy Nguyen will be cooking up a storm at The Prairie Emporium on Wednesday, August 24. The seven-course menu will be inspired by late night snacks, refined takes on what chefs like to eat at the end of a long day.
"I've been so grateful for all of the support throughout and after my time on Top Chef Canada Season 9," said the chef in today's event announcement. "I hope Calgarians are as excited to try my food as I am excited to cook for them."
There will be two seatings, both limited to 40 seats, for Nugyen's pop-up on Wednesday, August 24: 6 p.m. and 8:30 p.m.
Tickets are $85 and available now via Showpass. Nguyen will also be taking part in Sashay, Fillet! at The Rooftop YYC on Thursday, August 25.
