Central City Brewers and Distillers, the maker of the popular Red Racer beer, just launched another blockbuster: the Queensborough gin. The floral dry gin from B.C., made with juniper from the province's interior and spruce tips from Vancouver Island, has already won a gold medal at the 2016 Spirits International Prestige (SIP) Awards. Try it for yourself in this cocktail.
1 oz. Queensborough gin
1 tsp sweet Vermouth
3 fresh blackberries
6 oz. tonic water
orange zest, to garnish
In a wine glass, add gin, vermouth and blackberries. Top up with tonic and garnish with orange zest.
