Despite the closure of his family tattoo business and having to spend most of his time at home as a result of COVID-19 restrictions, the past year has arguably been the busiest time of country singer Aaron Allen’s entire musical career.
Following the release of his 10th studio EP in April, Highway Mile, the Ontario-born musician went on to receive a nomination for CMAOntario’s Male Artist of the Year category as well as a win in the Rising Star category, racking up millions of streams along the way.
In addition to the warm reception he’s received from his own albums, Allen has also built a prolific resume as a writer through a new partnership with Arts & Crafts Publishing, earning co-writing credits on hit songs from artists like David Boyd James, The Heart Attack Kids, and more.
Although Allen continues to remain busy working on new music for his next album, we managed to catch up with the talented singer-songwriter, who took some time to share a few of his favourite places to eat and drink in his hometown of London, Ontario.
Breakfast
Johnny’s is the best breakfast spot I know of. It’s special to me because I used to take my daughter there for breakfast every Saturday.
Lunch
I’m simple. I would eat Mr. Sub everyday if my wife would let me.
Dinner
Hands down pizza from The Palasad SocialBowl here in London. They have amazing wood oven cooked pizza.
Drinks
Partake Brewing's non-alcoholic beer is definitely my favourite.
