The Okanagan Valley isn't necessarily known for a booming live music community, but former Lake Country resident Chris Buck has made a solid name for himself in the Canadian country music scene since the release of his 2017 Billboard Top 20 hit “That’s When You Know” featuring Kira Isabella.
Thus far in his career, the Nashville-based Canadian act has collectively amassed over 16 million streams, a gold record, and a CCMA Award nomination for Video of the Year. His long-awaited new album, Answers, was released earlier this year and continues to garner plenty of buzz for the talented singer-songwriter.
While he doesn't make it back home as much as he'd like, Chris Buck clearly loves the region of interior BC where he grew up. From delicious house-made jams at breakfast to dinner at a stunning winery, here are the country singer's favourite spots for eats and drinks in Lake Countrry.
Breakfast
I highly recommend The Jammery. They make their jam on site and you can watch them make it too!
I personally always get their eggs benny, but there's a lot to choose from.
Lunch
Upside Cider is my favourite place to go for pizza and craft cider. Their oven-roasted apple prosciutto pizza is my personal favorite, and the fried chicken is great as well.
Dinner
50th Parallel Estate Winery has a small-yet-great menu with scenic views of the vineyards and Lake Okanagan. Most of their food menu is made in-house, and everything tastes delicious when paired with one of their great wines.
Drinks
I love sitting by the lake at Turtle Bay Marina on Wood Lake on a sunny day on their patio. They have a big drink menu and great vibes.
