Calgarians love their doughnuts, so it is with much excitement that the city has a brand-new doughnut shop.
Greedy Donut just opened its doors at 6008 Macleod Trail (just across the road from Chinook Centre) in an unassuming strip mall. Open daily from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. it offers an array of (mostly) flavoured cream-filled doughnuts, coffee and tea in a funky, neutral-coloured space that boasts a huge smiley face mascot of sorts and a "greedy" mural on the wall above its main counter.
With flavours like Oreo Cream Cheese, Blueberry Cream Cheese, Milk Cream and Strawberry Cream, it is no surprise that people have already been flocking to Greedy Donut to have a taste of the tasty-sounding creations. (And the shop only bakes 1,000 doughnuts a day, so when they sell out, they sell out.)
