Did you know Canada's largeset mecca has its own namesake cocktail?
Said to have been created in the early 1900s–and possibly pre-prohibition–the Toronto cocktail's first published reference was in 1922 in a book called Cocktails: How to Mix Them. At its base, the cocktail is a spin on a classic Old Fashioned made using whisky and Fernet Branca.
This recipe uses the Canadian-made Forty Creek Barrel Select Whisky. Aged in ex-bourbon barrels and new American white oak, the whisky boasts flavours of vanilla, honey, and cocoa, making this drink perfectly fitting for autumn.
