National Mustard Day takes place this weekend, and since Canada currently holds the title of the world’s largest exporter of mustard seeds, it feels befitting that restaurants across the country will celebrate the day with a slew of mustard-centric creations.
But Canadians won't be the only ones celebrating National Mustard Day on August 1. Today, French’s announced a new partnership with Colorado-based Oskar Blues Brewery that will see the duo produce a limited-edition mustard beer.
"We're stoked on bold flavours at Oskar Blues Brewery and we never shy away from a challenge," Oskar Blues Head Brewer, Juice Drapeau said in a press release. "With French's Mustard beer, we elevated the Classic Yellow Mustard flavour with tangy lemon and lime to create a tropical wheat ale I'd pair with a loaded hot dog on the hottest day of the year."
French’s Mustard beer collaboration comes as a follow-up to last year’s resoundingly successful mustard ice cream campaign in partnership with dessert company Coolhaus. The French's Mustard beer will be available on August 1, and can be purchased online through CraftShack.
