After getting a substantial makeover this past while, the original location of Heritage Asian Eatery is set to reopen on September 19.
With the cusp-of-autumn reopening comes an updated meu as well as a dynamic new interior. Framed ornate patterned graphics on sea green walls with gold accents and dark wood tabletops and chairs are meant to draws inspiration from historic Shanghai.
Though many signature dishes remain on its food menu, Heritage will be launching a robust new list of innovative and playful cocktails. The alcoholic drink menu is a first for Heritage and includes wine, beer and boozy creations like the Guadalajara San (blanco tequila, plum Umeshu, fresh lemon juice, green tea syrup, and Whiskey barrel bitters) and the Cold Fuchsia’n, a fruity mix of blackberry-infused gin, pineapple, fresh lemon juice, and apricot liqueur.
“This is the first time we’ve offered beer, wine or cocktails at either location,” said owner Paul Zhang in this week's announcement. “It adds a new element to the Heritage experience and we’re so excited for this next evolution. We know our guests will enjoy pairing new and classic dishes with their choice of alcoholic and zero-proof beverages.”
The restaurant is also launching a daily happy hour, from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. During this three-hour window, cheap drinks will be on offer along with cheap eats like its wings, xiao long bao, truffle siu mai, and more.
Heritage Asian Eatery is located at 1108 W Pender Street in downtown Vancouver and open Mondays to Fridays from 11:30 a.m. to 9 p.m.
