Since 2004, 21 Steps Kitchen + Bar has been committed to serving simple comfort food and drinks complemented by stunning views of the surrounding Whistler village and the Fitzsimmons Range mountains. Longtime residents of the ski town, Stacey and Gardner Betteridge have owned the casual eatery since its inception and have been sharing their love of the picturesque area with locals and tourists alike year-round.
The name 21 Steps is a bit of an odd one, but there's a simple explanation why. According to Stacey Betteridge, it takes 21 steps for a person to walk up to the dining room–which is located on the second level of a village building.
Another name they had considered was Local Spot, but that wouldn't have really stood out from the crowd. I mean, how can you forget a quirky name like 21 Steps?
21 Steps Kitchen + Bar is open for in-person dining daily from 5 p.m.-10 p.m. You can also order takeout and delivery online.
