Vancouver’s Como Taperia announced the launch of its online market this week, providing patrons of its popular Mount Pleasant eatery a virtual avenue to order an array of Spanish goods from home.
In addition to offering a wide selection of Como Taperia staples such as tinned conservas, premium Spanish olive oil, and a slew of B.C. wines, the online mercado will also feature the restaurant’s newly-developed Como en Casa kits.
“We’ve always wanted to make our mercado even more accessible and an online store is the natural evolution,” says Shaun Layton, co-owner of Como Taperia. “Guests can now order everything our restaurant mercado carries from the comforts of their own home. They can even recreate an authentic Spanish tapas experience with our new Como en Casa kits.”
Available in pre-prepared starter and dinner packs, each Como kit comes equipped with a number of the eatery’s most popular offerings, along with simple cooking instructions to recreate the dishes from home.
“We wanted to ensure our Como en Casa menus were easy to execute by doing all the prep work ahead of time,” adds Layton. “This way, people are able to enjoy a taste of Spain at home with dishes that are as fresh as possible. They can also definitely add items from our online mercado to any box order, such as wine, tonics, sherry, and vermouth.”
Como Taperia’s online mercado is open 24/7 and offers same-day-pick-up from Tuesday through Sunday.
