After teasing the forthcoming launch of its second brick and mortar expansion back in July, Superflux Beer Company announced today that the new Superflux Cabana will finally open its doors on November 12.
The 1800 square-foot space in downtown Victoria will offer bar and banquet-style seating for up to 55 guests, along with an additional rooftop patio opening some time in the spring of 2022. The interior was designed by Studio Roslyn to invoke the feeling of 70’s Vegas hotel lobby splendour, and features eye-catching pieces such as an indoor water fountain, a vintage cuckoo clock, and playful interpretations of classic artworks.
Superflux chef Matthew Harvey has created a menu that aims to provide guests with a casual and approachable dining experience with options like a Southern-style fried fish sandwich, smoked chicken cobb salad, and a custom-ground meat patty from local purveyor Farm and Field Butchers. In terms of libations, Superflux Cabana plans to feature a curated selection of Superflux beers, a few local guest draught beers, local wine, and a limited list of house cocktails.
“We’re giving the menu a nostalgic, future-retro hotel diner theme,” says co-founder Adam Henderson. “The food will suit the overall atmosphere of Superflux {Cabana}–cool and intriguing with a bit of lavish, high-end flavour thrown in there.”
Superflux Cabana will be open on November 12 from 4 p.m. to midnight. Following the grand opening weekend, the restaurant will be open Wednesdays, Thursdays, and Sundays from 4 to 10 p.m. and Fridays and Saturdays from 4 p.m. to midnight.
