A new Italian restaurant from the hospitality group behind Ancora Waterfront and Uva Wine and Cocktail Bar is celebrating its grand opening today in Vancouver. The Farmhouse plans to offer a casual and rustic Italian dining experience that celebrates the bounty of the Canadian West Coast.
The restaurant is led by executive chef Curtis Luk, who previously aided in the opening of Fable Kitchen before taking the helm of the now-closed Mission Restaurant in Kitsilano. Luk is joined by hospitality industry veteran chef Laura Messinger as well as long-time B.C.-based sommelier Holly King, so it’s safe to say the restaurant is in very capable hands.
In terms of what’s on offer, Farmhouse says guests can expect simple and comforting dishes designed to be shared amongst friends and families, along with a wine program that focuses on organic, natural, and biodynamic wines that derive from both the Pacific Northwest and Italy.
The Farmhouse will be open from 4 to 11 p.m. on Fridays and Saturdays, and from 4 to 10 p.m. on Wednesdays, Thursdays, and Sundays. More information along with the full food and beverage menus can be found online.
