New Japanese restaurant Hello Nori set to open in Vancouver next month

A new Japanese hand roll eatery is coming to downtown Vancouver

After months of anticipation and a plethora of picturesque Instagram posts, Vancouver’s newest Japanese franchise, Hello Nori, announced today that the doors to its first location will open in February.

Inspired by both the Japanese notion of wabi-sabi (appreciating the beauty of imperfection) and Western modernism, Hello Nori plans to provide guests with a high quality, fresh, and fast dining experience that focuses on the art of temaki sushi.

Upon launching, Hello Nori will feature 11 hand rolls that range from traditional offerings such as negitoro and yellowtail to creative concoctions like Hokkaido scallop and truffle lobster.

Although the Hello Nori team hasn’t officially revealed a list of libations, they have hinted that a selection of premium grade matcha green tea will be available along with an exclusive sake program to follow in the near future.

The 1,500 sq ft restaurant is expected to open in Vancouver in early February, and will be the first of three set to open in B.C. in the new year.
