Following its latest expansion on the Sunshine Coast, Vancouver’s Coho Collective recently announced that a new commissary kitchen and food production facility will be coming to Vancouver Island toward the end of August.
The new 2,324 square-foot space will feature eight stations for as many as 16 potential food and beverage businesses, including ghost kitchens, caterers, consumer packaged goods companies, and restaurant research and development.
Coho Victoria will mark the Collective’s first physical location on Vancouver Island, but due to the exceedingly high demand for shared kitchen spaces, the Coho team plans to add an additional outpost on the Island sometime this fall.
“Victoria is one of the most beautiful cities in British Columbia, and one with diverse population growth,” says Andrew Barnes, CEO of Coho Collective. “We have big plans in this city and are thrilled to announce the opening of our new commissary kitchen in our province’s capital and help to drive more food concepts to the area. This is our first Victoria location and a second is expected to open this fall.”
The first Coho Victoria commissary will be located in downtown Victoria at The Victoria Public Market at the Hudson. An exact opening date is expected to be revealed in the coming weeks, so keep an eye on Coho’s Instagram account for up-to-date information.
