A new thematic afternoon tea service is getting set to debut at Fairmont Hotel Vancouver’s Notch8 this weekend that will offer a stunning selection of sweet and savoury bites along with a one-of-a-kind ambiance inspired by Netflix's 2020 hit series, The Queen’s Gambit.
To bring the unique afternoon tea service to life, Fairmont Hotel Vancouver partnered with Vancouver-based Koncept Designs to transform the Notch8 tea room aesthetic with a lineup of life-sized chess pieces that hang from the walls and ceilings.
In terms of food and beverage offerings, Notch8’s afternoon tea service will come complete with an assortment of Fairmont’s LOT 35 Tea and a smattering of bite-sized snacks such as buttermilk scones with strawberry preserve and creme fraiche, dungeness crab corn custard tart, chilled Fraser Valley chicken finger sandwich, edible chess pieces, and much more.
The Griffin’s Gambit afternoon tea will be available for dine-in and takeout Fridays through Sundays from June 3 to September 3 with daily seatings at 11 a.m., 1 p.m., and 3 p.m. Reservations can be made online.
