After announcing the launch of a new student-driven market last summer, Wood’s Homes announced this week that it will be celebrating the grand opening of the Youth Culinary Arts Program (YCAP) Market on April 27.
For those unfamiliar with the program, YCAP offers employment, mentorship, mental health services, and hands-on training for multi-barriered youths (ages 15-29) in a safe and professional environment.
The YCAP Market offers students-in-training an opportunity to share their growth through an diverse array of student-made fare that ranges from baked goods, preserves, and sauces to soups, breads, and entrees.
The YCAP Market grand opening is set to take place on April 27 and will feature a ceremonial ribbon cutting, special guest speakers and testimonials, along with a selection of community leaders in attendance, including Mayor Jyoti Gondek.
