Easter long weekend is now just over one week away and it's starting to finally feel like spring is finally here to stay, so if you’re hoping to celebrate in Vancouver with delicious food and drink, now is the time to start making plans.
From heat-and-serve feasts from renowned caterers like The Lazy Gourmet and Railtown Catering to multi-course meals at acclaimed eateries like Botanist and Bacchus Restaurant, to brunch buffets and everything in between, here are 10 interesting ways to celebrate Easter in Vancouver this year.
Ask for Luigi
Whether it be brunch or dinner, however you want to celebrate Easter, Ask for Luigi has you covered. For the brunch crowd, Ask for Luigi will be serving a special seafood frittata feast featuring prawns, scallops, mussels, and clams.
From April 16 to 18, Ask for Luigi will be offering a multi-course Easter dinner menu that includes an antipasti of English peas, fava beans, honey ricotta, ricotta salata, and artichokes, a main course of lamb ragu and smoked caciocavallo, and a a seasonal tiramisu to finish.
Bacchus Restaurant
Chef Montgomery Lau and the culinary crew at Wedgewood Hotel’s Bacchus Restaurant are serving up a special one-day-only Easter brunch featuring a three-course menu and loads of additional options.
Guests of the Table d’Hote Brunch Menu will receive a special hot cross bun sharing basket upon arrival, followed by a choose-your-own-adventure-style brunch with starter options such as smoked Albacore tuna and baby tomato salad, main courses like buttermilk fried cornish game hen and liege waffles, and desserts like butternut squash pudding.
Botanist at Fairmont Pacific Rim
Botanist at Fairmont Pacific Rim is serving up a special three-course Easter weekend brunch that is highlighted by a trio of carved offerings including prime rib, roast ham, and lamb leg. Guests will also have the option to choose from a range of Botanist brunch favorites, such as crab and avocado eggs Benedict and salmon tartine.
Bruno Restaurant at Versante Hotel
Bruno Restaurant recently rolled out a number of new seasonal options to help ring in the spring season, including a special Easter brunch on April 16 and 17. In addition to all of its usual brunch offerings, Easter brunch diners will have the choice of either confit duck with foie gras eggs Benedict or carrot cake French toast.
Carlino
If all of the family-style feasts and multi-course meals out there on Easter long weekend aren’t exactly your speed, Carlino is doing a two-day Easter brunch menu that lends itself to a little more intimacy. Carlino’s Brunch Board for Two comes complete with carrot cake waffles, chocolate-covered strawberries, spring salad, poached eggs, Prosciutto, mimosas, and several more shareable options.
The Lazy Gourmet
As one of Vancouver’s premiere catering companies, it should come as no surprise that The Lazy Gourmet has once again created an amazing assortment of seasonal feast options to celebrate Easter.
Available in portions set for six or as a seven-course set menu, The Lazy Gourmet’s Easter offerings include dishes like rainbow spring salad, mustard and brown sugar roasted ham, and honey lemon lavender cake, along with a wide variety of seasonal sides.
Notch8 at Fairmont Hotel Vancouver
If you’re looking to celebrate the Easter holiday with a little extra luxury, Notch 8 will be hosting a special Easter afternoon tea service from April 15 to 17. Just want to feast with friends and family without the fuss? Head to The Roof bar on April 17 for an Easter brunch buffet with all the fixings from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.
P2B Bistro and Bar
P2B Bistro and Bar at the Pinnacle Hotel Harbourfront has put together a three-course brunch menu that will be available on April 17 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Easter brunch diners will start off with a charcuterie platter, followed by a choice between courses such as smoked sablefish nicoise salad, house-smoked beef brisket and eggs, and smoked salmon avocado Benedict. To finish, guests will receive an assortment of chocolate eggs and other Easter-themed desserts.
Railtown Catering
Railtown Catering’s wildly popular heat-and-serve Easter To-Go packages are back for 2022 with all of the traditional Easter fare needed to get you through the long weekend.
The multi-course packages are curated in small and large sizes with classic seasonal offerings that range from honey-glazed bone-in ham with house-made caraway mustard, roasted root vegetables with caramelized shallots, mushrooms, and white asparagus, and rhubarb crumble with house-made vanilla ice cream.
Winston
From April 15 to 18, Winston will be featuring a selection of special Easter items and set brunch courses that have all been made in-house by chef Douglas Lee. For brunch, diners will have the choice of either a toasta with navy bean, spiced avocado, jalapeno relish, cave aged Gruyere, and two eggs, or a cavatelli with poblano pistou and crispy spiced sunflower or beef sugo sauce.
Outside of brunch service, guests will be able to order Easter-exclusive order a la carte offerings for just $6 per item, including shokupan milk bun loafs, Cream of Oreos or Mythical Pink donuts, and either strawberry streusel, triangular lemonade, or bacon mac n’ cheese pies.
