Celebrated regularly for its perfect blend of mountain-cabin-esque coziness, unpretentious refinement and ever-creative food and drink experiences, the Four Seasons Resort Whistler is a guaranteed great stay.
While mainstay concepts like SIDECUT Whistler and Braidwood Tavern and typically packed to the brim with tourists and locals alike throughout most months of the year, the hotel property still likes to activate a fun pop-up or two elsewhere on the grounds. If you've never cozied up to the outdoor firepits and enjoyed a cocktail in snowy surroundings, that's an absolute must, but the lastest pop-up here is, perhaps, the hotel's most exciting yet.
Created in partnership with world-class whiskey maker The Macallan, The Library by The Macallan will make its debut on the hotel's main floor in a cozy, library-inspired bar on Friday, Dec. 15. The bespoke space also draw inspiration from the beauty of The Macallan Estate in Scotland and boasts an open fireplace, limited cocktail seating, a tailor-made bar and a mindblowing collection of The Macallan whiskies are run the gamut from top shelf to one of the world’s most luxurious Single Malt whisky.
(After experiencing a little preview of the pop-up bar recently while in Whistler, I can confidently this to whiskey lovers: Run, don't walk!)
While The Macallan's whiskey portfolio is not traditionally used in cocktail menu, The Library by The Macallan is getting a little playful and offers up five intricate cocktails (and one non-alch option) that merge the tasting notes each respective whiskey is known for along with flavours of the Whistler region.
For the luxury whisky seekers there are over 12 different bottlings of The Macallan, the largest collection in Whistler. All will be available to order neat or on the rocks in glassware from the distillery.
The Four Seasons Resort Whistler x The Macallan pop-up runs from Dec. 15, 2023 to March 31, 2024, and is open 4 p.m. to 10 p.m daily. To book a reservation, head to the Four Seasons Whistler website or email the hotel's concierge directly.
